Coral Springs Teen wins "Alliance for Youth" T-Shirt Contest By Pam Smith - Staff Writer - Boca Raton News
When Andrew Lane Stevens' mother enrolled him in Cartoon Camp this summer, neither of them thought that his art work would be destined to adorn hundreds of T-shirts. But the 13-year-old's "Sunny People" piece won the "Boca Raton's Promise: The Alliance for Youth" art contest and will be featured at the organizations Celebration for Youth summit. Andrew entered the contest through the Cartoon Camp that he attended with his 10-year-old brother Damian, at the International Museum of Cartoon Art in Boca Raton. "Most camps the boys had attended bored them after about four weeks, but they enjoyed this summer camp so much that they wanted to stay longer." Any other camp experience, it's "I don't want to go," Adine said. "This was, 'How come its over?"
